Description

Foundations were discovered during excavation work in 2005 at the former Tilburg-Oost sewage plant. These foundations turn out to be from one of the oldest buildings in Tilburg, dating back to 1310. A farmhouse occupied by the Tilburg priests for hundreds of years. The location is being transformed into a nature and leisure site, and the contours of the former Moerenburg house are being replicated at the original site as a commemoration. Although this time it will not be constructed from brick but from Corten steel.
