The light-rail station The Hague, designed by Zwarts and Jansma Architects, forms part of the RandstadRail metro line E and is the departure and terminal station of the light-rail connection between the cities of The Hague and Rotterdam. The platform roof is made from curved glass and steel and is the real showpiece of the station. A covered walkway in the shape of an expressive canopy connects the new column-free departure station with the station hall of The Hague Central. During this D&D project, Van den Bersselaar was responsible for the curved platform roof and its glazed units, the main stairs, the supporting columns and the double-curved white covers on the escalators.
